The #10-phase A-phase grounding fault tripped in the high-voltage switchgear of the Inner Mongolia Baiyin Wind Power Project's power line during routine maintenance. Upon the incident, on-site maintenance personnel immediately responded to the site. Working closely with the repair team, they strictly adhered to high-voltage equipment maintenance safety protocols and assisted in establishing a safety perimeter. Using professional techniques including high-voltage generator localization, on-site acoustic diagnostics, and insulation resistance testing, the technicians pinpointed the fault location and confirmed it was caused by an insulation failure in the cable connector, resulting in a ground short circuit.
After identifying the fault cause, the Baiyin
Project maintenance team immediately mobilized with coordinated efforts to the
site, working alongside the repair crew to locate the issue through
auscultation. Undeterred by the challenges, they worked around the clock to
pinpoint the fault location as quickly as possible, racing against time to
minimize downtime and ensure power generation continuity. Through our
relentless efforts, we successfully pinpointed the fault location, accelerated
recovery progress, and minimized the impact of this incident.

Subsequently, the maintenance team collaborated with the emergency repair crew to successfully restore power supply to the transmission line. Throughout the repair process, the Baiyin Project earned unanimous praise from both the client and repair team for its rapid emergency response capabilities, professional operational standards, and unwavering dedication. This effectively ensured the normal operation of power generation equipment in the project. The initiative also demonstrated the implementation and effectiveness of regular technical training programs, establishing a robust safeguard for the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
