The MCL thermal power project in Zambia is the first thermal power plant in the Republic of Zambia, located in the Southern Province. The unit scale is 2*150MW, with Power Construction Corporation of China serving as the EPC general contractor. Our company is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the units, as well as technical training and guidance for the owner's personnel.
During the implementation of the project, Zambian President Lungu visited the site multiple times and expressed his deep appreciation for the friendship between China and Africa.
Due to the poor stability of the Zambian national power grid, high-frequency auxiliary power interruptions and other failures occurred during the trial operation period. Under the guidance of our personnel, the safety of the unit was ensured, and the owner's personnel's ability to handle emergencies was improved.
