To ensure the safe and stable operation of the box-type transformers at the Inner Mongolia Xiwu Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Project Department throughout the year, and to guarantee power generation from wind turbines and stable grid connectivity within the facility, the project team has implemented comprehensive annual maintenance plans since July 2025. By completing scheduled inspections for all 40 transformer units, they have ensured reliable and secure power grid operations
This year's maintenance work on box-type transformers covers a wide range of areas and is highly targeted, including all the box-type transformer equipment in the Xiwu Wind Power Project. In order to promote the maintenance work efficiently, the operators made the maintenance plan in advance and carried out the maintenance in different time periods according to different regions, which minimized the impact on the power generation of the wind farm.
During the maintenance, the staff strictly check the transformer box according to the regulations
Focus on checking the contact condition of the switchgear in high voltage cabinet and low voltage cabinet, and replace aging parts in time
Check the oil level and oil quality of the transformer, clean the dust on the radiator to ensure good heat dissipation and prevent faults caused by high temperature

In the next step, the operation and maintenance personnel of Xiwu project department will continue to consolidate the maintenance results, establish and improve the long-term operation and maintenance mechanism of transformer box, grasp the operating status of equipment in real time by combining regular inspection with condition monitoring, and ensure the safety and stability of the operation and maintenance of the project department through refined management.
