Recently, Guangxi Luchuan area has been experiencing continuous high temperature weather. The company's wind power operation and maintenance project department in Luchuan has carried out emergency drills to prevent heatstroke.
According to meteorological data, the highest temperature in Luochuan will exceed 38℃°C. With high humidity in mountainous areas, the perceived temperature becomes even higher. In such hot conditions, the body's temperature regulation system may malfunction. Excessive heat accumulation within the body could lead to heatstroke. Mild cases present symptoms like dizziness, thirst, excessive sweating, and fatigue, while severe cases may pose life-threatening risks.
At the event site, the project team conducted a simulated heatstroke emergency response drill. When a staff member was found suffering from heatstroke during routine inspection at the outdoor substation, immediate rescue measures were initiated. The affected individual was evacuated to an air-conditioned indoor area, where medical personnel removed their clothing and applied cool compresses with wet towels. While the patient remained conscious, they were administered diluted salt water in small sips and prescribed heatstroke prevention medication. Medical teams continuously monitored the patient's temperature, consciousness, and breathing patterns until full recovery was confirmed.
In terms of life, the Luchuan project department has also made sufficient preparations for heat prevention and cooling, reducing the time of going out: try to avoid going out from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., carry heatstroke drugs with you when you really need to go out, and take sun protection measures.
Timely replenish water, sweat more in high temperature weather, when working outside, timely replenish water, drink more light salt water, avoid direct drinking of ice water, to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort.
Keep indoor ventilation, the indoor ventilation should be good, the air conditioning temperature should not be too low, set at 26℃ is appropriate.
Eat a light and easy to digest diet, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and avoid eating too much spicy and greasy food.
Get enough sleep. In hot weather, the human body consumes more energy. You should keep enough sleep and reduce or avoid staying up late to enhance the body's resistance.
Through this activity, the knowledge of heatstroke prevention has been greatly improved and the safety awareness of all members has been strengthened.
